Low Assistive Technology

Today's class I was introduced to several pieces of low tech equipment. It was quite amazing to learn how many items could be turned into something to support learning and lesiure in the classroom. I really liked the pencil grips made out of the old style hair curlers. I work with a lot of students who have ADHD/ADD/ODD and who would benefit from the different stress and sensory balls. When I ventured out to the Sackville Dollarama I noticed a lot of items that could be turned into low assistive technology.
